Thomas and I have just submitted a paper proposal to the journal Performance Research, which is preparing an issue dedicated to the thinking and practice of fieldwork due for publication late 2010. Take a look at an outline of our ideas on Thomas’ blog. Just to be clear, the term fieldlife was coined by Tom. I’m still waiting to come up with a smart phrase!!
No need to play yourself down Joe! Since the term appeared in my Masters dissertation it’s been transformed and put to use in different ways by both of us, and I don’t really see it as belonging to me. That’s the joy of working between the two of us. Long may it last!
